The widespread adoption of the Internet, and the ability to access information located on servers around the world in written, visual, audio, and different formats, entered our lives 35 years ago, also in October, and it continues to shape and transform it every day.
The human practice of expressing knowledge, know-how, and experiences in various literary genres as a result of different actions, and recording them, is as old as human history.
We conduct research on subjects we are curious about through the interfaces offered to us by the tools we have, and we continue to use the answers they provide as information.
Recently, led by Large Language Models (LLMs), artificial intelligence is more widespread and used by broader audiences than ever before.
Industry players are making massive, successive investments — to the point of risking their futures — to grab a share and secure a foothold in this groundbreaking market opportunity.
Engineers, unable to satiate their models with digital and digitized content scanned over the years, are now continuing to feed them with synthetic content they produce themselves. And at the point we have reached, synthetic content on the internet (the content we connect to via the network and access with browsers) has surpassed the content produced by real users.
Artificial intelligence chatbot interfaces — which do not have the answer “I don’t know” for all the topics we are curious about, with which we currently communicate by typing on a screen (the common habit), but with which voice communication will be more common in the near future — have now become our main source of information.
We are in the days when videos researched, summarized, narrated, and edited with AI-generated images are widely used on YouTube. Although getting views and making money is the main motivation, it is a content load that will not serve any purpose beyond a transition period for an audience that still does not use AI tools widely. For now, it is a negligible load for the data farms built with seemingly infinite capacities.
In such an environment, in this part of the world where generations are growing up having largely lost their reading skills, blogging — trying to convey ideas and thoughts by choosing the right words — may seem very meaningless to populist minds and for those with attention spans the length of a Reel.
However, I believe that as long as humans exist, some fundamentals will not change. The people who built all these systems also reached this point by reading and enriching their perspectives. Even if it decreases, just as some will continue to write poetry and others to make oil paintings, some will also continue to write their ideas and thoughts.
Why Should I Blog?
I am also working to ensure that both I and the brands and teams I try to help transform are included in this age of transformation in the most efficient way, without becoming disconnected. My goal is to maximize efficiency by combining artificial intelligence models with automation. Chat tools, which compile thousands of books and hundreds of sources into a consumable format within seconds, are my biggest assistant.
On the other hand, I want to continue to convey the knowledge and experiences I have internalized. Since this blog is my personal website, even if some of it is only read by me, keeping it published here gives me the opportunity to turn back and look at the “me” of that day from time to time.
I do not know where time and the technological tools we use will take us. However, I will continue to produce content here that I have created myself, distilled with my own vocabulary. Sometimes there will be no semantic integrity, sometimes there will be spelling mistakes, and sometimes you will not agree with my opinion. All these flaws will come from my nature. I am a human. I can make mistakes. I can do or say very good things and bad things. But when I look back years later, this writing will represent my ideas of today.
